Healing the Divide

Now more than ever, Americans are in need of the undeniable power of compassion in their daily lives. As we work to heal the divides that have been decades in the making, faculty in the School of Social Ecology in concert with the UCI Blum Center for Poverty Alleviation have been developing an innovative curriculum in the science and practice of compassion that gives students the tools they need to infuse their lives and work with compassion.

Join the School of Social Ecology's ChangeMakers and watch this year's Daybreak Dialogues webinar, featuring Dean Nancy Guerra in conversation with Richard Matthew, associate dean and director of the Blum Center as they outline the case for compassion and provide a roadmap for providing the tools to help us all as we attempt to heal the country's political divide.
