Empowering Sustainability on Earth

Program Agenda and Videos
June 24, 2011

View Program Overview Video

Conceptually, the program is divided into four areas:

  • Perspectives on the difficult global context for sustainability;
  • Case studies of compelling worldwide sustainability challenges from participating countries;
  • Unanswered transcendent questions; and
  • The vision and accomplishments of the coastal protection in Mexico and California

The chronological organization of the July 18-22 time period reflects the availability of speakers, so there is not a sequential progression from one programmatic area to the next. All of the programs between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. occur in Room EDU 1111, Berkeley Place (corner of Campus Dr. and East Peltason on the UCI Campus, parking is available by entering the parking structure at the corner of Campus Dr. and Stanford on the first floor level). The evening programs will be held at other locations identified in the program description.
