The School of Social Ecology presents former Member of Congress and current UC Irvine law Professor Katie Porter, who shares her "Three Reflections for 2025."

Ms. Porter's X.com profile reads: "Minivan-driving single mom, law professor, consumer advocate. Usually carrying a whiteboard, always bringing the receipts."

Our hope is she brings both with her. And, yes, former Rep. Porter (D-Irvine) will take questions from the audience after her presentation.


Psychological Science Post-Baccalaureate Info Session

UC Irvine's Department of Psychological Science is currently accepting applications for its post-baccalaureate program. The deadline to apply for Fall 2025 is April 15, 2025 for domestic students and February 15, 2025 for international students.

Program Overview: UC Irvine’s Post-Bacc Program in Psychological Science is a certificate program that combines psychology coursework with research and/or internship experience. It is designed for people who have a bachelor’s degree (in any discipline); who are interested in a psychology-related graduate program, career development, or career change; and who could benefit from additional coursework, research and/or real-life work experience in psychology. 

Those interested in a doctoral-level or master’s degree programs in a range of areas of psychology (including clinical/counseling psychology, social/personality psychology, developmental psychology, health psychology, psychology & the law, and school psychology) or health (e.g., public health, medical school) can strengthen their graduate school applications by completing our program, which offers an individualized course of study based on each person’s qualifications and goals.

UC Irvine Homecoming

Alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to come to this year's UC Irvine Homecoming to reconnect with fellow Anteaters at the heart of our campus, Aldrich Park, for a memorable day celebrating our Anteater community during this family-friendly tradition. Enjoy an afternoon of Ferris Wheel rides, food trucks, family fun zone, live music, homecoming court coronation, pre-game rally before men’s basketball takes on Black and Blue Rival Long Beach State and so much more.

Make sure to swing by the School of Social Ecology's booth in Aldrich Park, where you will find the All in for All Cereal Company. Enjoy Saturday morning cartoons, photo ops with oversized props and normal-sized costumed characters as well as a bowl of one of the cereals you enjoyed as a kid (even healthy brands if your parents made you eat those).
