The School of Social Ecology presents Daybreak Dialogues, featuring:

Jason Schiffman, Professor and Director of UCI’s Clinical Psychology Program, and Marshall Moncrief (’03, BA psychology and social behavior), CEO of Mind OC

Schiffman and Moncrief will discuss the importance of the collaboration between the Be Well Orange County initiative and the UCI Clinical Psychology program to improve the mental health of some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors, and how such partnerships can serve as a model for the nation and beyond.

Given a dearth of resources and leadership to address the current mental health crisis, Be Well brings together health systems, faith communities, private businesses, family members of people with mental health issues, and UCI to create a unified system meeting the needs of OC.

Partnering with Be Well, the School of Social Ecology’s Clinical Psychology program has emerged to generate new knowledge and create solutions for mental health challenges while training tomorrow’s mental health leaders.

A Q&A will follow the presentation.

Free parking and free breakfast included.
