Lauds and Laurels Recipients Announced

Social Ecology is well represented among this year’s Lauds and Laurels recipients. Michael Gottfredson, Executive Vice Chancellor, Provost and Professor in Criminology, Law and Society, will receive the highest honor of Extraordinarius

James Newkirk, who together with his wife, Martha, Ph.D. ’81, have endowed two fellowships in Social Ecology, is being named Honorary Alumnus; Charles Jock, an Urban Studies major in  the Department of Planning, Policy and Design, will receive the Outstanding Student-Athlete award; and this year’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for Social Ecology will be given to Peter Fischler ’80.
