Valerie Jenness, Dean of the School of Social Ecology, was the co-recipient of the Public Understanding of Sociology Award from the American Sociological Association. This award is given annually to a person, or persons, who've made exemplary contributions to advance the public understanding of sociology, sociological research, and scholarship among the general public.
