“California Stories of Hope: Advancing Social Justice through Student Success,” a three-day webinar series presented by UCI and the John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education, featured thought-provoking, interactive discussions by representatives from across all sectors and professional roles within California post-secondary education. School of Social Ecology distinguished alumni —Shari McMahan, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Cal State San Bernardino, and Thomas Parham, president of Cal State Dominguez Hills — are panelists in the first webinar and John Whiteley, professor of social ecology, who co-organized the series, is a panelist in the third webinar.
