Kate McCullion is the final speaker for the 2026 Winter Quarter Labor Research Talks presented by the UC Irvine Labor Center. She is a "proud member" of UAW 4811, a delegate of the Orange County Labor Federation and a curatorial assistant for the UCI International Film Club.

Research interests for the film and media studies doctoral student include classical Hollywood, critical theory, political economy, film as popular history, visuality and modernity, silent cinema and horror studies. McCullion holds an M.A. in film studies from King's College London as well as B.A. in American studies from the University of Manchester.
