DATE

LOCATION
UCI Student Center, Moss Cove AB
DETAILS

On January 24th 2018, an Ingham County Circuit Court Judge sentenced Larry Nassar to 40 to 175 years in prison for the sexual assault of minors. Nassar was the USA Gymnastics national team doctor from 1997-2014, as well as an osteopathic physician at Michigan State University. Ultimately over 150 girls and women accused Nassar of sexual abuse and molestation, and confronted him during his trial in 2018.

During this special Views by Two presentation, we will be hearing from two individuals who have been at this center of this case in particular, as well as the larger conversation of how sexual abuse on this scale continued for so many years. We will be joined by John Manly, a partner at Manly, Stewart and Finaldi who represented several of the Olympic gymnasts during this case, as well as Jeanette Antolin, a member of the 1995-2000 Olympic Gymnast team, and one of the first survivors to speak out against Nassar. Mr. Manly and Ms. Antolin will discuss their experiences with this case, from the unique perspectives as a prosecutor and survivor.

You can read more about the speakers here.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
