Sarah Pressman, Ph.D., will discuss the science of happiness Feb. 12, 6 p.m. at the Beckman Center.

Pressman, associate professor of psychological science, studies stress, positive emotions, physiological pathways (e.g., endocrine, cardiovascular), health psychology, facial expression, social relationships and positive health behaviors (e.g., vacation, sleep). Her research examines the role that positive emotions and other positive factors play in influencing stress and health outcomes.

Facilitating the discussion will be author and radio host Janeane Bernstein, Ed.D. Kim Perkins, Ph.D., an organizational psychologist, will join Pressman on the panel.
