DETAILS

The School of Social Ecology, Master of Public Policy (MPP) program and the Public Policy Student Association (PPSA) invite you to participate in a policy forum on Combating Homelessness in Orange County. This forum will include panel discussions and keynote address exploring critical challenges by engaging the leaders, policy makers, researchers and service agencies at the front lines of addressing homelessness.

Keynote speaker Mark Putnam will draw upon his impressive career combating homelessness in the greater Seattle area. Putnam has dedicated his professional life to addressing the housing needs of youth and young adults, people living with HIV/AIDS as well as the chronically homeless. As former Executive Director of All Home, Putman led a broad coalition of government, business and non-profit organizations that increased the number of people becoming housed by nearly 80%. Currently, Putman is the Executive Director of the Accelerator YMCA, which provides trauma-informed housing, behavioral health, and supportive services to youth and their families.
