Department of Urban Planning & Public Policy Professor Doug Houston and postdoctoral scholar Vivianna Goh are among the speakers at this UC Irvine Climate Collaboration Annual Symposium session, which brings together researchers, public health experts and community partners to explore how small-scale green spaces can deliver meaningful climate, health, and social benefits in urban environments.

This session highlights the collaborative work across Southern California -- from Santa Ana to Southeast Los Angeles to Irvine -- examining how pocket parks and community gardens can reduce urban heat, improve air quality, support biodiversity, and strengthen community well-being.

This is half the flier for the UC Irvine Climate Collaboration event "Pocket Park and Garden Climate Solutions."
