University of California's Irvine's Climate and Urban Sustainability Program (CUSP), the UC Irvine Alec Glasser Center for the Power of Music and Social Change and the School of Social Ecology continue the Climate Justice Lecture Series with an insightful talk by J. Mijin Cha.

The assistant professor of environmental studies at UC Santa Cruz and author of A Just Transition for All: Workers and Communities for a Carbon-Free Future (2022, MIT Press) will explore the unknowns when it comes the transition away from fossil fuels, including who will bear the burden. She argues that the current political moment is ripe for an ambitious, justice-centered approach.

After the lecture, Mukul Kumar, a UC Irvine assistant professor of urban planning & public policy, will moderate a discussion with Dr. Cha. This event is free.
