DETAILS

The New ICTS Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) Unit is offering this workshop to provide expert feedback and advice for graduate students and faculty interested in submitting an abstract to the 16th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation in Health to be hosted by Academy Health and the National Institutes of Health in Arlington, Virginia, Dec. 10-13, 2023. The call for abstracts opened May 18, and the deadline to submit is Tuesday, July 18, at 2 p.m.

The 2023 conference, whose theme is "Raising Expectations for D&I Science: Challenges and Opportunities," will concentrate on capitalizing on our methodological progress while also focusing attention on areas needing growth. We see tremendous opportunities to continue to advance the empirical and theoretical base for both experimental and observational research across the globe. Opportunities can include expanded work to learn from implementation practice, co-creation of high-priority studies, and application of trials testing strategies to support adoption, implementation, sustainment, scale-up, and/or de-implementation.

Travel Awards of up to $1,000 are available for investigators who:

  • attend the 2-hour workshop on June 27, 1-3 p.m.
  • submit an abstract to the D&I Conference due July 18, 2023
  • have their abstract accepted and attend the D&I Conference

During the workshop, attendees will receive advice and guidance on submitting to the D&I Conference and presenting D&I work and can receive feedback on their in-progress D&I abstract from the D&I Unit co-Directors, Drs. Miriam Bender and Stephen Schueller. Please contact either Dr. Bender (miriamb@hs.uci.edu) or Dr. Schueller (s.schueller@uci.edu) for more information.
