Olympic Hopeful and Planning Office Intern

Charles Jock, a senior in Planning, Policy and Design, is completing his Field Study as a planning intern at Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAPOC) and is also an Olympic hopeful in the 800m. Jock has a passion for creating communities that work for everyone. His concern is the huge disparities between poor and rich people. He wants to help people be self-sufficient, with a specific focus on energy sustainability for community planning. Jock would like to continue his education and earn a Master's degree in Urban Planning,

Jock has been named the Big West Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Year for the third consecutive season. He ran the 800 meters at the Big West Championships in 1 minute, 44.75 seconds, that leads the U.S. list this season.
