Loftus receives the 2010 Howard Crosby Warren Medal

Elizabeth Loftus, Distinguished Professor of Social Ecology, Psychology & Social Behavior, Criminology, Law & Society and Law, has received the 2010 Howard Crosby Warren Medal from the Society of Experimental Psychologists.

Loftus was honored for her significant contributions to the understanding of human memory, especially its fragility and vulnerability to distortion. Loftus received the award Saturday, May 1, at the society's annual meeting in Philadelphia. Loftus' work is relevant to topics such as eyewitness testimony in criminal cases and false recovered memories.
