Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens delivered the commencement address at the School of Social Ecology's commencement ceremony on June 17, 2012. Sheriff Hutchens' inspiring speech encouraged students to pursue and believe in the American Dream. She said that she is "a testament that anything is possible if you have an unwavering belief in yourself."
Family and friends filled the Bren Events Center to honor the Social Ecology Class of 2012, which included 930 graduate and undergraduate students.
