2017 Chancellor’s Club Fellowship Recipient

March 2017

The Chancellor's Club is a community of UC Irvine alumni, parents, faculty and friends who care deeply about this university and who have made a commitment to invest in its greatest needs. Established in 1972 by founding Chancellor, Daniel G. Aldrich, Jr., the purpose of Chancellor’s Club gifts are to support undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, and other areas of critical need as determined by the Chancellor. This year, one graduate student from the School of Social Ecology received the 2017 Chancellor's Club Fund for Excellence Fellowship.

Janice Phung, graduate student in the Department of Psychology and Social Behavior, received the award to support her dissertation research entitled "Mixed martial arts training as a means to improve social communication and executive functioning in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder."
