rof. Loftus is the recipient of the 2010 Scientific Freedom and Responsibility Award presented by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). The association cited "the profound impact that her pioneering research on human memory has had on the administration of justice in the United States and abroad" and recognized Loftus as “an ideal example of a scientist." The award was presented during the 177th AAAS Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., Feb. 17-21, 2011.
