[10/31/08] ASSISTANT PROFESSOR PSYCHOPATHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. The areas of expertise for the candidate search are affective disorders, psychotic disorders, or co-occurring severe mental illness and other conditions. The department has a longstanding commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship and the application of theoretically-grounded research to social problems.
 
Candidates must have a Ph.D., a strong record of research, and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. The department offers access to clinical populations and a doctoral program specialization in psychopathology (not a clinical Ph.D.). Research experience with clinical populations is required, and research experience with interventions is desirable.
