Susan Coutin, Professor of Criminology, Law & Society and Anthropology, will be joining the Graduate Division as Associate Dean effective April 1.She has served as the CLS graduate director since 2008 and is a former director and current advisory board member of the UCI Center in Law, Society and Culture.
As Associate Dean, Susan will focus on implementing the recommendations of the Task Force on Graduate Student Support/Resources and Development of Professional Master’s Programs. Established by Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Michael R. Gottfredson, the task force was charged with identifying ways to increase graduate student support funds, as well as potential areas for new graduate degree programs or the expansion of existing programs.
