Social Ecology graduate student, Katie Pine, seeks to improve U.S. maternity care with a Public Impact Fellowship.
Katie was motivated to study maternity care in the U.S. partly by the 2007 birth of her twins. "One was in a breech position, but I wasn't required to have a C-section," she says. "I was happy to have this choice when many women in such a situation do not."
