   GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH/LAB RESPONSIBILITIES:
   
   Research in this lab is broadly focused on the biopsychology of stress. Most of the ongoing studies assess pregnant women repeatedly during their pregnancy and follow these women and their newborns up until after birth. Current projects focus on the experience of stressful events throughout pregnancy, the role of infection in preterm birth, and the role of stress in the development of gestational diabetes.
