Application Process

Applications are now being accepted for the class beginning in September 2008. Please follow the instructions below to start your application process. For help with this process, please contact us at (949) 824-1442 or at mwahlert@uci.edu.

The application deadline is April 18, 2008.

  • Go to www.rgs.uci.edu/grad/prospective/app_online.htm for the online application form.
  • Use code 7222B in Social Ecology
  • After completing the entire application in full, press the submit button which then prompts you to pay the $60 application fee using Visa or MasterCard. You can also pay by check or money order, payable to "UC Regents," and mailed to:
      UC Irvine
      Graduate Division
      Attn: E* Application Fee Processing
      120 Aldrich Hall
      Irvine, CA 92697-3180
  • After submitting your application fee, you have officially applied and should receive an emailed confirmation.
  • Provide Letter of Recommendation and Waiver of Access forms to the three people you have identified who can evaluate your academic and professional achievement, describe your strengths and weaknesses, and comment on your character, integrity and motivation. Letters that speak to your ability to perform in a post graduate academic program are especially useful. These should be mailed from your recommenders directly to:

      CLS Department
      SE II Room 2348
      UC Irvine
      Irvine, CA 92697-7080
  • Arrange to have your GRE test scores sent to the Graduate Division (UCI code: R4859).
  • Arrange to have duplicate transcripts of all necessary academic records sent directly to Social Ecology II.
