Lynn Pazzani is a fourth year graduate student in Criminology, Law & Society. She has a B.A. in Sociology from Reed College. She has an interest in gender issues, and specifically sexual assault. Her Masters thesis dealt with the different causes of stranger and acquaintance rape. She plans to explore the effect of police officer attitudes and victim discrediting factors on the outcome of rape cases for her dissertation work. Lynn is interested in statistics and research methodology, and she has served as a teaching assistant working mainly in these areas. She is also certified as a California rape crisis counselor and serves as a victim advocate in Orange County.
