Lyndsay Boggess

Lyndsay Boggess is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Criminology, Law & Society. Her research interests involve communities and crime, race and ethnicity, social inequality, economics and the housing market, and crime mapping and quantitative methods. Her dissertation research focuses on the reciprocal relationship between racial and ethnic composition and change in crime over time, and looks specifically at the effect of neighborhood change on inter- and intra-group youth violence and crime in schools. During her time at UCI, her work has been funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Lyndsay received her M.A. in Criminal Justice in 2003 from the George Washington University and her B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 2000.
