[12/12/07] Assistant/Associate Professor, Public Policy (SE / PP&D / Poli Sci)

The University of California at Irvine seeks applicants for an Associate Professor (with tenure) appointment or Assistant Professor (tenure-track) to strengthen existing degree programs and to enhance a planned Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree program. The University of California, Irvine, invites applications for up to four authorized positions over the next two years. We seek well-qualified candidates at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level whose research examines the policy process and/or a particular policy area. These positions are open with regard to specialty, although we have particular teaching needs in public management, construed broadly. Faculty appointments will be made in either the School of Social Ecology (http://socialecology.uci.edu/) or in the School of Social Sciences (http://www.socsci.uci.edu/). The successful candidates’ appointments will be housed in the most relevant department, with options including anthropology; economics; planning, policy and design; political science; and sociology.
